The site is located within the Kennedy Centre shopping complex and will be constructed on a section of the surface level car park. The development will result in a reduction of 40 car parking spaces so that a standalone drive thru coffee shop can be developed.

In June 2020, HJS Developments Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2020/1228/F) proposing to develop a standalone drive thru coffee pod. This application was approved in November 2020.

In May 2021, HJS Developments Ltd submitted a new planning application (LA04/2021/1356/F) proposing amendments to the previously approved planning application (LA04/2020/1228/F) seeking elevational alterations, additional bin/grit store area, amended service yard area and amended drive thru island/layout. This application was approved in September 2021.

It was confirmed via planning documents that the tenant of the standalone coffee shop is Tim Hortons.

Construction began to take place of the development in June 2022.

In December 2022, development of the new Tim Hortons drive thru coffee shop at The Kennedy Centre completed, with the store opening on the 12th December.
