The site at 64 Andersonstown Road is approximately 0.18 hectares and was previously developed as a dwelling which has now been demolished. The site has been vacant and overgrown for a number of years.

In April 2001, a planning application was submitted (Z/2001/1049/F) which proposed to demolish the existing dwelling and to construct 12 apartments on the site. This application was approved in March 2002. The dwelling was demolished, however, no construction took place on the site.

In March 2004, a planning application was submitted (Z/2004/0617/F) which proposed construction of 45 retail units and 7 duplex apartments with 6 garages. This application was approved in May 2005.

In October 2018, Lanyon Homes NI Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2018/2589/F) which proposed construction of 14 no. apartments in 2no. blocks with associated car parking and landscaping. This application was approved in January 2020.

In October 2020, Clanmil Developments Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2020/2077/F) which proposed construction of 12 No. apartments in 2 blocks with associated car parking and landscaping. This application was approved in March 2021. Construction for this development is currently underway.

By 2024, most of the construction work on the residential development has been completed, with landscaping work remaining. Clanmill Developments stated that the development would be completed for Spring 2024.
